Ana Teresa Brito holds a PhD in Children’s Studies by University of Minho (2009) and concluded post-Doctoral research in Early Childhood Intervention (2015), both with Doctoral and Post-doctoral Grants from the Foundation for Science and Technology/FCT. She also holds a MA in Education Sciences (2003), Post-graduation in Special Needs Education (1999) and a BA (Honours) in Early Childhood Education (1986).
She was Honorary Fellow at CEDAR, Warwick University (2017-2020). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazelton/Gomes-Pedro Foundation for Child and Family Studies (FBGP) and the Portuguese Touchpoints Site Coordinator. She is also a member of the Research Team in Development and Education in Childcare (0-3), Prochild CoLab. She is an Assistant Professor at ISPA since 2020, where she teaches courses related to Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Intervention, Inclusion, Pedagogical Practice and Transdisciplinary Studies to undergraduates and master students. She is Co-Director of the master’s degree in Pre-school Education and Master in Pre-school Education and Primary School Teaching.
Author of papers published in national and international journals and books, her professional and academic path always complemented each other, conducting to research trails based on lived experiences, and to questions that emerged from them.
