Francisco Peixoto holds a PhD in Psychology from University of Minho and is a Professor at ISPA since 1991, where he taught courses related to Educational Psychology, Learning, Motivation and Research Methodology to undergraduates, master and PhD students. He participated both as team member and Principal Researcher in several research projects funded by the national research agency and the European Commission. The majority of these projects focused on the affective components of learning, mainly academic emotions, self-esteem and self-concept, and motivation. He is author of several papers published in national and international journals and books. Is an Associate Editor of the European Journal of Psychology of Education and member of the Editorial Board of several national and international journals. Since 2010 is the Director of the Integrated Master Degree in Psychology and Vice-Rector of ISPA – Instituto Universitário.
